GPD selected to join Global Network Initiative

Global Partners Digital (GPD) has been selected to join the Global Network Initiative (GNI) as part of its civil society constituency.

The GNI is a multistakeholder group of companies, civil society organisations, investors and academics working to protect and advance freedom of expression and privacy in the information and telecommunications sector.

Commenting on the news, GPD’s executive director Charles Bradley said:

“We are delighted to join the Global Network Initiative community. As threats to freedom of expression and privacy online continue to increase, the value of GNI as a global platform for meaningful discussions and innovative policymaking between stakeholder groups has never been more important. GPD has collaborated with the GNI on various projects and initiatives over the past five years and we are excited to formalise this relationship. We look forward to working in partnership with the GNI and its membership to further the promotion of human rights in the digital environment.”
