Amy is Project Assistant for GPD’s Emerging Tech team. In this role, she supports the delivery of a range of projects, working alongside partner organisations in Africa and South America, monitoring developments in policymaking forums and processes around emerging technologies and supporting the work of the broader Emerging Tech team.
Prior to joining GPD, Amy undertook a PhD under the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology project at the University of Essex, which explored the political economy and right to health implications of data-driven research partnerships in health. During this time, she held positions as assistant lecturer at the University of London (School of Advanced Studies), assistant editor at the International Journal of Human Rights and London President of student-led global health think tank, Polygeia. Previously, she worked in research roles at NGOs Lepra and Survival International.
Amy holds a BSc in Anthropology and an MA in Human Rights from University College London.
