Daniel is the Project Assistant for the Business and Human Rights Programme, which aims to increase the capacity of civil society, governments and tech companies to promote and respect human rights online. Daniel provides support to a number of projects within the Programme, including managing specific projects, helping to develop project proposals, and providing research and other forms of support to the team.
Prior to joining GPD, Daniel worked at a business advisory firm which co-developed the UNGP Reporting Framework as part of their business and human rights team. He provided support to a broad range of transnational companies to help improve their human rights performance throughout their supply chains with a focus on human rights reporting which aligned with the UN Guiding Principles.
Daniel obtained an MA in International Development with Human Rights Law at the Brussels School of International studies after gaining a BSc in Business and Management from Aston University. Between his studies Daniel also worked for a short time in Kenya working with local entrepreneurs to set up social enterprises. This led him to take a particular focus on development issues in Kenya and East Africa during his postgraduate studies.
