Minna Penttila

Minna is the Project Assistant for the Freedom Online Coalition Support Unit. In this role, she provides administrative and logistical support to the FOC Project Team and FOC Members, and assists in organising meetings and events, including the Freedom Online Conference.

Before joining GPD, Minna worked as Program Assistant at the Ford Foundation in New York, where she supported grantmaking in gender and reproductive justice, immigrant rights, racial justice and criminal justice reform. Prior to that she worked at the secretariat of the High-Level Task Force for International Conference on Population and Development, a global advocacy group that was involved in the Sustainable Development Goals process at the UN. 

Minna holds a MSc in International Development from the University of Helsinki. During her studies, she interned at the Global Development Unit of the Family Federation of Finland and Acude Foundation, an environmental NGO in Cordoba, Argentina. She also studied Latin American Studies at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires and is fluent in English, Spanish and Finnish.
