Motsabi leads on organisational strategy, learning and development at GPD. She also provides support to GPD’s Board of Advisors and business development processes, and has a cross cutting-role of fostering innovation and good practice across the organisation.
Previously, Motsabi has worked as Political Officer for the European External Action Service in Guatemala and Human Rights and Projects Officer at the British Embassy to Guatemala and Honduras. She joined GPD directly from the Civil Service Fast Stream programme, where she supported trade negotiations at the Department of International Trade (DIT), coordinated a labour rights enforcement programme at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and worked on leadership and change management at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Motsabi has a BA in International Development and Spanish from the University of Leeds and an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University. Her academic studies have focused on North-South linkages, development and social change, gender studies, global advocacy, international law and critical perspectives on international relations, diplomacy and international security. She has published academic research on the disciplinary effects of peacebuilding discourse and recently published a book chapter in the autoethnographic collection, Clever Girls.
Motsabi is fluent in English and Spanish and has intermediate French.
