Expert Group on the International Telecommunication Regulations

The Expert Group on the International Telecommunication Regulations was established in 2016 with the a mandate of reviewing the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) adopted in 2012, taking into account new trends in telecommunications/ICT, emerging issues and obstacles that may arise from the implementation of the 2012 ITRs and Resolutions and Recommendations adopted at the World Conference on International Telecommunications in 2012. The Expert Group presented a progress report at the ITU Council 2017 and a final report at the ITU Council 2018 which will be examined at the 2018 Plenipotentiary Conference with the ITU Council’s comments.
