Zora Gouhary
Zora is the Senior Programme Lead for the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC)’s Support Unit.
In her role, she works closely with the FOC project team, members and stakeholders — supporting the delivery of joint activities, including providing assistance to the Coalition Chair and the Friends of the Chair, and organising meetings and events, such as the Freedom Online Conference, FOC’s premier event.
Prior to joining GPD, Zora organised a wide range of conferences and events at the International Institute for Strategic Studies and at Minority Rights Group International in London. Before that, she provided project and research support at the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, where she worked on equality and LGBTI rights, hate crime, Roma and migrants’ rights, labour exploitation and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Zora holds an MSc in Security Studies from University College London, where she focused on international peace and foreign policy. She also holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations, and a BA in Cross-Cultural and Political Communication from the American University in Bulgaria.
She speaks Bulgarian and English.
