The Strategic Advocacy Canvas is a tool to help human rights defenders build more effective advocacy strategies.
The Canvas is designed to suit a range of advocacy needs. You can use it as a tool for experimentation and testing out ideas; for example, as a way of determining the feasibility of a hypothetical project. Or you can use it in a more formal context – perhaps to develop a long-term advocacy strategy for an existing project.
The Canvas also comes packaged with a ‘how to’ guide, and an Advocacy Strategy template. Download it here (PDF)
If you’d like to adapt or edit these resources, Word-compatible versions are also available:
You can also access a Spanish version of the Canvas here.
